FWIW, I was terrified the day I got a positive. I kept thinking, "What did we do?!" It felt so different planning for a hypothetical baby than it is to realize you're really, truly having one! DH and I were shocked, scared and really stressed the first few days after we found out I was pregnant (unplanned pregnancy). We quickly adjusted and got super excited. It's terrifying to think that you're going to responsible for a little person for the rest of your lives (or 18 years depending on how you think about it)! I knew I wanted to be a mom, I wanted a baby so so badly, but I still got nervous all the time about it. I just left it as "whatever is meant to happen will happen" and it did! Pregnancy has been scary, and at 29 weeks, I'm still scared of what parenthood will be like, but I do know that I love this little baby more than anything in this world, and I haven't even seen her yet. Here's a little back ground on my DH and I. DH and I have been married since last November after 5 years of dating. We're both 30. He has a good high paying job and mine is decent. We've been talking about having a child for a while now. In January we decided to stop using protection and let mother nature run is course. AF is a couple of days late. I bought some pregnancy tests tonight. I plan on taking a test on Saturday morning when DH and I can have some time to ourselves. I want to be a mom, but the thought of being pregnant scares me. When I do take this test and if it reads positive, our lives will change forever. I guess its just the fear of the unknown right now. Has anyone felt like this before?
