I never woke mavi up. and it worked out well for us. But i know my friend is having issues because her daughter sleeps all day and is awake at night. So they have to recondition her to switch around.

Once -- she napped from 5pm until 11:30pm, and I knew I would be up all night with her if I didn't.

She usually wakes up on her own at 7am but on I'll wake her up @ 7:30am if she's not awake by then. Helps to keep her on a regular schedule, otherwise it throws off the rest of the day.

I've never woken LO up only because she doesn't/didn't sleep well at all - day or night. However, her napping skills are improving and if her afternoon nap is longer than 2 hours or goes passed 5pm, then I'll get her up.

We were the same especially when she was little. She could nap up to 3 hours and as long as she wanted at night

I do. I try not to but if it's time to go somewhere it's time to go somewhere. So far she's been pretty flexible and doesn't pitch a fit and falls back to sleep.

only for that same purpose-- keeping them full all day so they'll sleep all night. Once he started sleeping thru the night, I only woke him if he was napping past 5:30pm so he could go to bed at a normal hour.

sounds like Olive is another great sleeper!!! awesome!!!

Do you follow that old adage?

I wake Olive in the daytime when she sleeps 3 1/2 hours because I want her to get most of her calories in the daytime, so that she'll sleep more at night. So far so good... she's been doing a 5 hour stretch after her bath, wakes up for a feeding, and then does a 4 hour stretch.

Do you ever wake your sleeping baby?
