Thanks for your feedback. What did you do about pumping when they started sleeping longer at night? Did your supply just adjust?

I've always been told that a baby won't starve themselves. They'll wake up when they're hungry. I'm not sure if your baby being premie changes things so I agree that you should talk to your ped.

Def see what your ped says, but if she's ok weight-wise etc then wake her often during the day for feeds and let her sleep a bit longer at night.

I would ask your pedi too. But personally, I've never woken my baby. I love when she sleeps! She didn't start sleeping long stretches until she was 6 weeks old. When she's hungry, she wakes and lets me know!

I would ask your pediatrician. My LO was overdue so our doc said I did not have to wake her up to eat at night so I never did.

My LO is 10 weeks today, but only 4 weeks adjusted. I try to feed every 4 hours overnight, but he usually wakes up before that. Last night he wasn't awake after 5.5 hours so I woke him up to feed him ( and I was super engorged). He only took one side and I had to pump the other side.
Should I have just let him sleep, pump and given him a bottle when he woke up? Is he still too little and being a preemie to sleep long stretches without eating? He is gaining weight well.
How/when did you make the decision to let the baby sleep through a feeding?
