@pmrlady: Hey there! Just took a peek at your chart - I think the different times of day may be having an effect. But FF gave you crosshairs (and not dotted ones either), and it looks pretty good to me! I would have FF not count your high temp the day you were sick - that'll give you a clearer view hopefully.

Your timing looks good to me though!

Thanks for the replies.
So the morning I had the peak reading was CD15. I have been charting with fertility friend and they have marked O day on CD 16.
Here is my chart:
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4e26b5

Unfortunately I was sick on CD 20 so my temp was messed up because of that, but I feel like the temp shift on CD 17 is not that much higher than my previous temps so I was a little worried that it might not be marking it correctly. I would have felt better if the temp shift was more obvious. I've also not been temping at the same time every day so that might be affecting it but most of the time I wake up before the alarm, so I take my temp whenever I wake up.

If anyone could look at my chart and give me some reassurance I would really appreciate it! I was able to BD on CD 14, 15, and 17. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that brand also tests for estrogen too, right? Maybe that's why they suggest FMU?

but you could always test twice a day once you get the flashy smilies if you're afraid you have a short surge.

But you don't actually ovulate until AFTER the LH surge, so even if you did O last night, chances are you're still good to do today.

You will get more warning if you catch the surge the night before when it begins but it's all only a guide and as long as you get some action in round that positive you should be fine.

Hi welcome! I have never had a problem with using fmu. Like I've tested the night before and in the morning and later in the afternoon and they are all the same intensity during the lh surge. I use the strips though so I don't know about the monitor you are using.. either way though, you better get busy! Good luck!

Hello all.

I am new to this site and on TTC cycle #3, this is my first cycle charting. I was wondering if anyone could help me out regarding the clearblue advanced ovulation test, the one that shows a flashing smiley for high fertility and a solid smiley for peak fertility.
So I have been testing with FMU since that is what was written in the instructions. But I have read that the LH surge is best detected with afternoon urine since the surge happens during the day.
I got my solid smiley this morning after several days of flashing smileys. Since I used FMU, I am wondering if perhaps my LH surge actually happened yesterday and the test is picking up the remainder of that surge. Or are clearblue advanced tests just more sensitive than other OPKs and can detect a rising LH before the actual surge happens later in the day. Maybe that is why they say to use FMU in the instructions instead of afternoon urine like the other OPKs...
I am just wondering if my LH surge will happen today or if it already happened yesterday. I hope this all makes sense.

Thanks in advance!
