I take 'em and I've never once felt nauseated. I don't take all three at once though, I usually break it up into taking one in the morning and two at night (I try to take all three at different times but I rarely remember to take the afternoon one, so it ends up being taken at night!).

I take the New Chapter ones and I can't take all three at once or I get mildly nauseated and a little bit of an aftertaste. I take two at breakfast and one more at bed time. From what I have read, it seems like breaking it up lets your body process and absorb better. On the other hand, I don't always remember to get all three in me each day so I am not sure which is worse.

I have the Rainbow prenatals as well but I have the horsepills. I get nauseous anytime I take them. I'll even wake up in the middle of the night feeling pukey :( I'm TTC so I'm not taking them often, unfortunately, because of this.

I'm going to try taking a half pill (or half dosage) right after dinner and then the rest before bed. I think this might help! I'll try this weekend though, when I don't have to be at work the next morning if I do feel gross.

I've been taking new chapter too, but haven't noticed any increase in nausea. I would just stick to the ones that don't make you nauseous for now and try again in a month.

@Foodnerd81: I'm afraid to start them back up again to test and see if that's why. They "claim" to be gentle enough to be taken without food... and they are 3 pills a day versus 1 like the Similacs.
The Similac ones actually have more iron (27mg vs 18mg for 3 pills).
I guess making sure I'm taking them with food is one place to start. Thanks!

I haven't taken those specifically, but do you take them with food? And do they have more iron than the other ones? I get an upset stomach easily anyway, so I started with the Rainbow Lite Petite ones (take 3 smalls instead of 1 big) and I still get nauseaus if I take with without any food.

Hi everyone! Up until about a month or so ago, I was taking Similac prenatal samples given to me by my midwife's office. I wanted something a little healthier so I ordered New Chapter Prenatals and I feel like after taking them for a couple weeks, I am so nauseous! I stopped taking them for a few days and then started them back up and again.. nauseous! They claim to be gentler on the tummy over regular vitamins.
Anybody else have this problem?
