Is it possible that a proxy server is caching your pages? This is farily common if you work at a corporation, or if you use a firewall at home. In other words, rather than making sure that your version of the page is the newest possible page... it will just show you an older version of the page that the browser had previously downloaded for you. You can turn that feature off, although I don't have the instructions to do so at my fingertips. In the meantime, I'll see if there's something we can do on our end to turn off IE's tendency to aggressively cache pages! It's possible that the browser HTML itself is being aggressively cached by your browser. That's happened to me before and might cause a similar issue... Sometimes I'll click back in after an hour or so, and threads that I KNOW I've read, will not be the lighter gray. But it only seems to be after an hour or two (or three) that this happens. If I click out, and then back in within, say, 30 mins, it's fine. I also tried the suggestion you gave to Maisy, and tested it. Still same as before. And to clarify, when I say "click in and out" I mean from my favorites bar.
