I started getting a reaction to eggs after giving birth. I can still eat baked goods and other foods with eggs in them, but I can't eat them by themselves, cooked or raw (like in brownie batter). I ate a fried egg on Valentine's Day and my stomach hurt so much I had to spend the day on the couch!

Not sure, but it seems like every time I eat dairy foods now, I feel nauseated afterward. It may just be the way it coats my mouth/throat with that icky dairy taste afterward, but I never had a problem before with eating dairy other than that I would feel sick if I drank milk on its own - yogurt and ice cream never used to bother me.

Not that I'd suggest testing this out with food, but it may be oral allergy syndrome (OAS) rather than anaphylaxis - since you mention an itchy mouth and throat. That's where you're allergic to a pollen and your body is confusing the protein in a food with the pollen you're allergic to, but you're not technically allergic to the food, and it's worse in the season when the allergen is in the air. You might want to wait until after LO is born and get an allergy test to see if you really are allergic to peanuts?

Has anyone else developed a new food allergy while pregnant? I have never had a peanut allergy, but recently, if I eat peanut butter, I'm starting to get the very early signs of anaphylaxis (itchy mouth and throat). I've stopped eating anything peanut related as soon as this started to happen more than once. If this has happened, do you now if these allergies will follow you throughout life? I love peanuts, so this would be very sad if it's the case.
