You might want to read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"

OPKs don't indicate if you will or will not ovulate. They monitor a particular hormone, and a surge of that hormone usually leads to ovulating. But it doesn't always. Your body will some times gear up to ovulate, but not actually get there. You may have another surge and ovulate, or you may not.

I would recommend mastering one tracking technique (temping, mucous, or OPKs) before trying to combine them all and track everything.

@MaryM:

It was 97.60 yesterday and today. If I had an OPK but didn't ovulate would it happen again this cycle or not again until next?
I feel so dumb with all this- it's crazy how much info there is!

If you mean Monday as in yesterday, it's too early to confirm ovulation. Your temperature has to be consistently higher than the previous 6 for three days in order to confirm ovulation. It's possible for your temp to rise and not stay risen and you not actually ovulate. It's also possible to have an LH surge (positive OPK) but not actually ovulate.

So temp shifted Monday morning which would indicate ovulation so the CM might just be a fluke..

Hm OK thanks ladies!

Temps are the most accurate and you don't get a shift until after you ovulate...you're fertile for about a day after, but a few days before.

Welcome! I'm not an ovia user but k would go off of the opk and temps! My app is always roughly correct. I had to adjust my luteal phase since mine is shorter than normal. Maybe you just need to customize it to yourself a bit?
Good luck and come join us on POAS threads!

Hi all! I am new around here but have a question!

Hubby and I have been TTC for 7 months with no luck. Ovia fertility app told me fertile window would be 2/6-2/11. On Friday I did an OPK to double check bc my temp dipped that morning and it was positive.

When I entered this into my app it bumped my fertile window back a whole week. Now it's Tuesday and since then my temp had a definite thermal shift but I have had consistent EWCM every day. OPK tests have been negative.

Any ideas- don't know if I am still fertile or if this is normal.
