I think the biggest issue is her being over tired. Since she is still young, I don't think it makes a big difference to her that you've moved. I hope you can get her back on the nap schedule soon!

@Mrs. Yoyo: so true. I hope now that boxes are all in and she's back with me we can get back to our nap schedule :)

@luckypenny: Aw :( I'm assuming everything is the same regarding sleep times, any white noise, routine, etc? If so, all you can really do is wait it out -- she'll probably adjust within a week. But if she's OT, frankly, that is probably the biggest thing and what you probably need to get a handle on first.

@Mrs. Yoyo: she's 7 months old this week. Usually she cries for less than 5 minutes and falls asleep but since the move she won't stop and it sounds so sad and scared, unlike her "whining" cry. :(

Aw, how old? Probably a combo of both. When we moved, LO was 10 months and it definitely threw off his sleep for about a week -- he'd cry when we put him down, especially for naps, which he didn't before.

If you think she'll respond to CIO (mine didn't) that's always an option. I personally wouldn't go down the cosleeping road unless truly desperate, but we've never coslept well!

Yesterday we moved into a new apartment and now DD has decided not to sleep. She's taking over an hour to be put down and wakes frequently (falls asleep, wakes up and cries, 1 minute later falls asleep, repeat...). She has been stayin with MIL during the day and she hasn't been napping great. She doesn't really follow the schedule I give her so I know DD is overtired when we've picked her up.

Is it because its someplace new? Is she scared? Or is it because her schedule is off? I don't know what to do! Let her sleep with us? CIO? I've tried just going in and patting her back etc and it doesn't work.
