Even though the pillows are synthetic down I still buy hypo allergenic pillowcase covers because I am allergic to dust. Indulgence is great for back/ stomach sleepers. We haven't started sleeping on our king yet, so I haven't tested out the new side sleeper pillows I bought with DH in mind. Based on mattress warranties they should last at least a decade. I buy new pillows every couple of years. I keep the ones that are relatively in good shape and toss the really bad ones.
