Mine would hurt and be white like you describe and it was a bad latch. If baby is in side lying position while nursing make sure babys mouth is directly in line with nipple. If baby s mouth is behind or over nipple it caused pain. Although it also got warmer here at the same time and I think part of my problem is the cold!</p> <p>It could also be a latch issue. If she just went through a growth spurt, her mouth may have changed and caused her latch to change. All of a sudden I'm having a lot of pain in my nipple when she nurses on the left side. The nipple is pretty white when she pulls off. I'm thinking its a bad latch but it's been all day and only in the left. What gives? </p>
