Yay - The teachers love her and she loves them. They are very good about not overfeeding her (important since I pump). She loves watching the older babies and I'm pretty sure she started crawling and cruising early by watching them.

Nay - Her naps there suck.

@mediagirl: I get if she needs to get some laundry done or grab snacks from the kitchen but if you know we are there at 715, then you need to be there. It would help R to be in the same place every morning. Not to mention I don't want her walking around with people, when I know she is hungry for her breakfast. Which I can't send anything hot cause I don't know if when she actually eats. Luckily she is fine with waiting to eat, but I don't like it. And I am not waking her up early to eat when she can eat there. I mean it is a 2 min drive.

@Smurfette: I think in that case, I would do the same - go in and talk to her about it. At M's new daycare, the teachers don't get there until 7:30 so the director has the early birds in the front room and then when the teachers get there, they take the kids to their rooms with them. At her old daycare, we used to have this problem with the teachers being late and I complained enough that she started coming in on time. Ha.

Yay: they're super awesome. Did a daycare date night where LO was the only one and totally okay with it. Were there when LO locked himself in our car on Friday's pickup. LO's language skills are stellar thanks to their work with him.

Nay: beginning to push potty training what may be a little too early more for us. Once we give them the go ahead, we will.

@mediagirl: They open at 715, and were there pretty much at 715. I drop her stuff off in her room and then walk to the room she is in till 8 when her teacher gets there. They just switched that room for her last Thursday. The decided to switch her cause this teacher gets there at 7, and the room is more for her age (the previous room has younger kids). But this morning she was off doing laundry or in the kitchen. I am going to talk to the director in person about it. The first couple weeks it was really bad cause that teacher was always late, so she wasn't even there yet.

@mediagirl: So glad that it is working out so far!

Yay: She is napping better and MUCH happier with the short drive hom
Nah: Don't love the new teachers, yet. And I am annoyed the teacher isn't always in the room in the AM, so I have to leave R with the director.

Yay - SO close to home and work, she serves amazingly healthy food, and she gets the kids outside as much as possible

Nay - the hours (7:30 - 5) are rough, and there's not much structure (fine for now, questioning for later).

Temporary Nay - She's going on vacation next week and I still don't know what we're doing!!!

ETA: Is this for NEW daycares, or just new versions of yay/nay? I haven't had enough (decaf) coffee this morning... haha

Yay- LO 1 loves preschool and she learns so much!

Nay- LO 2 seems bored in the infant room but the director doesn't want to move her because she does not crawl, etc.

Very timely, we started at our new place this morning.

Yays: my son walked right in and made a friend on the playground. Teacher is a friend of my mother's.

Nays: the hours! I wish the program was a bit longer and included lunch.

I saw this one from a month ago and wanted to start a new one - fresh start!

Yay - we started new daycare Friday and she made a friend, according to the teachers. This center serves better food and I already love the teachers. I'm so, so happy with her there.

Nay - still far from home. Oh well.

Being happy with the center trumps all.
