The other day my 2yo had an epic tantrum when I brought him downstairs to eat breakfast. After he calmed down he told me "I cried because I want stay upstairs!" I was floored that he wanted to explain himself. Sometimes toddlers are so funny!

How cute! My DS is working through this too.. he will be throwing a fit and if I say, we can't do that right now because we have to do this first, he will think for like 5 seconds and say "ohhh kayyyy". Hahaha.

Yep, we've been there. Sometimes if C is getting worked up and we ask him if he needs to go to his room and cry he says yes, goes to his room for a few minutes and then comes back and is fine.

Tonight during bathtime, M got mad at me for telling her not to dump water out of the tub. She got "the look" on her face and I thought we were in for an epic bath tantrum.

Instead, she turned around and walked to the corner of the tub. She put her head down in her arms on the side of the tub and stayed there for at least 20 seconds. 20 seconds of her head down, standing still, not making any noise! It almost seemed like she was working through her frustration. It was very weird!

All of you with toddlers know 20 seconds is a long time for them to stand still. We had time to get a phone out and snap a bunch of pictures. She didn't even move when she heard the camera click.

Finally, she looked under her arm. And giggled at us. Ha.

Anyone else ever seen their toddler do something like this?
