@T-Mom: haha, yes we have a BOB! I know it seems so huge, but I have gotten used to it. I just leave it in our backyard with a cover on it, so I barely ever have to fold, lift and carry. I really appreciate the smooth ride since we jog on trails mostly. If it weren't for my BOB, I'd hardly exercise, so i really, really needed it when we moved out here... Still have 10 more postpartum lbs to lose :/

@NYCaliMama: yeah, I am following your thought process and your choices make total sense. We live in a mostly car environment and our situation hasn't changed much since DD, so anything new would just be a luxury. I think I will probaby just stick with what we have and give the Peg Perego a good cleaning. If anything, I may add a jogging stroller (debating this or a bike trailer, too many choices!) What kind of jogging stroller do you have? I have tried out my friend's BOB, but wow it is so huge!

I updated my strollers after #2! But at the time we were in NYC and walked everywhere with strollers... To cut down on cost, I bought most of them off a neighborhood moms' listserv. I sold my old ones as well.... Got an almost new Uppa Baby Vista in great condition for about $300 if I recall correctly. Ditto @MrsWagon's comments on it... But yeah my first DD outgrew the rumble seat pretty fast. But for the time we used it, it was great!

We have a new set of strollers now that we are in CA too... Haha, I have no problems admitting my stroller addiction. I'm done now though... I chose very carefully and made sure we'd really make use out of them. But again, we live in a walkable neighborhood, so having the DDs walk long distances would take forever (and who are we kidding, they'd just run all over the place), so we still use strollers a lot. We have a jogging stroller, a double and an umbrella. DD 1 is starting to outgrow always being in a stroller, but it's heaven sent when she has somewhere to sit and we are out and about the whole day. Up until recently she would still stroller nap too! So that's our situation...

I totally understand the stroller envy. Baby gear has changed a LOT since our first kids were born! But try to hold off unless you can score great deals and/or are upgrading to a stroller with awesome features you'll really, really use!

@T-Mom: yes, the snack tray and recline positions on the UBV are so nice! The only thing I kind of wish we had was a side by side double stroller. But WJ is getting older so the piggyback board is really the best solution for him.

@mrs. wagon: Wow thanks for your analysis of the UBV! It sounds so high tech. We travel by air frequently, so I know I'm going to use the Maclaren a lot, but I hate that it does not have a snack tray, and would love a more full sized stroller that is actually a nice ride for him (Peg Perego is really bumpy but has great recline positions and snack tray).

We have an UppaBaby Vista and we love it. We've had it since Wagon Jr. was a baby and when LMW was born, we bought the rumble seat (turning it into a double stroller) and the piggyback board (turning it into a sit and stand). We usually click on both and Wagon Jr. loves riding in both of them, especially standing on the piggyback board. We got the UBV planning on it being our one and only stroller forever and ever, and so far so good. It's not great for travel but we never fly anywhere. Also, the rumble seat only supports smaller kids (up to 35 lbs and the height limit is pretty short but we're lucky because WJ is short) but you could switch the bigger kid to the regular seat and the smaller kid to the rumble seat... BUT that would make the younger kid further away from you.

That being said, we got the Vista with a friends and family discount from the factory here in MA, and we got the rumble seat and piggyback board used off Craigslist. Everything is so pricey.

@Foodnerd81: you're right, it is a lot of $$. I know that practically speaking it makes no sense, and it is very unlike me to be envious but I can't help it! I hate being behind the times. Maybe I should just have a 3rd! My DH would love that. Thanks for your reply :-)

So it's just the two, a 4 yo and 15 mo? I wouldn't buy a new stroller if you can get buy with what you have. It sounds like the ones you have are nice already, and if you went for something 'nicer' like an uppababy, you are talking about a LOT of money for something you won't use very long.
But, I don't actually have any toddlers, so perhaps I wrong.

Did anyone buy a new stroller for their 2nd LO (or beyond)? DS is 15 months but still in the stroller phase for a while. I had not planned to buy anything new for him since already have a Peg Perego Pliko P3 and Maclaren Triumph to hand down from DD. However, I am really coveting all the new stroller designs (like Uppababy brand) that are out there that make mine seem old and clunky. Our strollers used to be really nice strollers, but things have really advanced in just a few short years! I have thought about buying a Joovy Caboose sit n' stand type stroller but DD is 4yr and don't know how useful it really is.

What did you/would you do?
