It wasn't a big drop but was two days before af and turns out it was actually bad news this time. At least I know what to look out for in the future. I would have shared my chart but dont actually know how to... wow didnt know about the thyroid issue, that's really interesting as it runs in my family. Thanks @mrs.someone

I saw one study once that average temps below 97 or so (follicular phase) could indicate a thyroid issue. Also, if your shift isn't much of a change, it can mean a progesterone problem. Its all relative though, want to share your chart?

If it's right at the TWW and it takes a .4 nose dive, AF is on the way, usually the next day. This month AF didnt show until 3 days later, giving me a sliver of hope, but no. I've been charting 8 cycles and a drop has always lead to AF.

I'm assuming you're near the end of the 2WW? For me when my temps drop low 2 days in a row near the end of the Wait, I get AF.

I'm new too. When did your temp drop? If it is right before AF is due, that is usually not a good sign.

Haha thanks, I was kind of trying to convince myself that i'd been sleeping with my mouth open but my temps have been so regular, literally text book, was very disappointed with the dip today. Usually start spotting tomorrow it just seems more than a coincidence, a rise now would make for a very happy Friday

Gah, i haven't charted in almost a year, but I'd still hold out hope that I was sleeping with my mouth open or something off one small dip. A couple in a row... a little more discouraging. Below cover - time to whip out the wine, chocolate and Midol.

Hi, this is my first month charting and I got quite a temp drop this morning. I was wondering how much it has to drop before you more experienced charters get discouraged....?
