My younger one is 1 but lots of this still happens. We've moved into "if I see baby brother having it/doing it then I want it too!" They are the sweetest together though!

I love this thread! I thought it was just my LO that always needs something - usually her bum wiping - whenever I am tending to the baby!

Mine are 22m apart. For a while, my older son would just shout "AA! AA!" whenever I was trying to put the baby to sleep. Or play with outlets in the room. Or pull at the curtains.

Yesterday, I was trying to get dinner in the oven at 5:30pm (the time my 2y-old normally is eating, so we were looking at 30m late), 2-year old was shouting "I'm hungry!" and my 6-month old had a blow-out poop that shot out all up his back to his shoulders.

This stuff is crazy. But I've gotten a lot more used to the crazy.

So I am new to 3 but can totally commiserate with how hard potty training with a baby is! The other day LO2 needed help pulling up his pants while I was making lunch and holding a screaming baby. I tried to pull up his pants one handed and lifted him off the floor and he fell forward smashing face first into the tile floor. Not a fun moment!

H has decided that she can no longer go in a room if the light is off. Conveniently it's always when one of us is holding the baby that she needs to go in a room with the light off.

we are new to being parents of two. DD is 4 and DS is 11 weeks. Its very sweet watching them together. DS' face lights up when he sees her. It is also challenging though. as soon as I start nursing DS, then DD suddenly needs something from me. Since his birth she i had to teach her how to open the fridge and help herself to snacks otherwise she would act like she was starving to death.

My 3.5 year old regularly decides to poop while I'm putting the baby down for a nap. "Mama! I pooped! Come help me wipe!"

I'm impressed with how quickly she found one of the few things I actually have to go help her with immediately.

@FaithFertility: haha! that reminded me when we first brought baby home, DS1 was interested in bottles. We formula fed, and he snuck a sip and quickly let us know that formula was "ewww"

DD knows when I pump it is to get AJ his milk
She asked for some I told her it is baby milk
So now when I pump she always says

Similar to your first story, this week turned to find DS1 offering DS2 his sippy cup of juice, while baby was desperately trying to latch on to the juice cup!! Now after a talk about how baby only drinks milk, DS1 often tells us "baby no yummies, baby no juice"

DD 2 in a few weeks
DS 5 weeks

Today...DD eating a muffin singing to DS as I go over he is covered with muffin crumbs in his hair and all over.....

Sit to pump as DS falls asleep take DD in room with me who immediately has to use the potty
Take her go sit again to pump DS cries

Share your stories.......
