how long did you let her cry? when LO began rolling onto her tummy, we let her cry it out. it also coincided with us letting her cry for night weaning. she eventually just fell asleep on her tummy and then the next day, she was a tummy sleeper! so i say let her cry. it was about 45 mins for us. hopefully will be shorter for you.

My only advice is to wait it out. She'll probably figure it out soon. My LO loved to sleep on her tummy from very, very early on, and would get stuck on her back. I only rolled her a couple of times before she caught on.

I am blessed with a 7 month old amazing sleeper. She has slept through the night since 8-10 weeks, goes down for naps and bedtime easily 99% of the time, and (until recently) very very rarely wakes up in the middle of the night...and if she does it's generally just wanting her pacifier back.

She slightly behind with rolling/crawling - not even close to crawling and just finished mastering rolling about 5-6 weeks ago. The issue is, for the last couple weeks now that she's comfortable rolling, she wants to sleep on her side or tummy but I think she doesn't sleep as well that way. She'll occasionally wake up face-down on her mattress and forget how to get herself out of the situation so she starts crying. I watch her on the monitor and she will push herself up, so I'm not worried for her safety, but she can't seem to figure out what to do from there to get back to her side or back. I'm uncertain if I should be enforcing any sleep-training techniques here. A lot of the books say not to sleep train if they're going through developmental milestones, which she sort of is but isn't - she's been rolling perfectly well both ways for over a month now, but rolling to go to sleep is sort of new.

On one hand, I want to give her the ability to figure it out for herself so we're not forming bad habits by mommy saving her every time, and I want to make sure she figures out physically that she can solve the problem herself. On the other hand, so far giving her a few minutes to figure it out has resulted in her getting REALLY worked up which then wakes her up more and makes it harder to calm down and fall back asleep.

I'm not sure if I should just keep rolling her back over when she gets upset, and if the negatives of helping her are better or worse than the negatives of her having much more interrupted sleep. If anyone has gone through something similar, I'd love some advice!!
