I also don't google that stuff. Or if I cave, I listen to the most reasonable answer instead of the worst-case scenario one. You will drive yourself crazy otherwise...one of my coworkers and I were pregnant at the same time, and OMG she always had herself in a tizzy over something. I think we had conversations like this every day:

Her; I keep getting this awful sharp pain around where my ovaries are, like a sudden cramp or pulling, it's really freaking me out!
Me: Ugh, sounds like round ligament pain - I hate that, it's the worst and can hurt really badly!
Her: No, I think it's something much more serious than that, I googled it and it could be *insert crazy unlikely thing here.*
Me: ...That seems pretty unlikely, because that is something rare, whereas round ligament pain is common. And at your appointments everything has been fine, right?
Her: Yes, but it really hurts and I KNOW something is wrong! I'm just in so much pain and it must be serious.

Then she would leave work early, and end up missing the next day because she decided she needed to go to the ER. And the next day...

Me: Is everything okay? What did the doctor say?
Her: They said it's round ligament pain.

This would happen approximately every 2 or 3 weeks over various normal pregnancy aches and pains. Don't be that girl! LOL.

You really need to stop, take a breath, and enjoy. Pregnancy is like parenting - the days are long but the years are short. You had such a tough journey to get here, it would be so terrible to spend the next 9 months looking for reasons to be stressed/unhappy/worried. You have a 95%+ chance that everything is going to be just great. Embrace that and leave the Internet fearmongering alone!

Read Teresa Strasser's blog "exploiting my baby because its exploiting me" or better yet the book). She had a neurotic time with pregnancy too and I think when you are that way it helps not to feel alone. Hugs!

Step away from the google!!!

Here's the thing. All those things can happen with and without symptoms. There's no rhyme or reason. So there's no point in stressing yourself out!

Stay away from Dr. Google! Seriously, no good can come of googling pregnancy symptoms. You'll just get yourself worked up over nothing! :happy:

@Tidybee: agree!

I started to get lost in google with my daughter, but just download some weekly apps and browse those and daydream about names :) try not to worry about things you can't control! easier said than done, I know, but it doesn't get easier..there'll always be something to worry about (throughout pregnancy and when LO is here!) so it's a good exercise ;)

Sorry to post twice in a row!

Am I the only one who looks up something on Google and ends up being worried about 5 more things I had never even heard of before? For instance; eptopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, and blighted ovum. Ugh!! Life must have been so much easier for our moms. So much less insanity when they only had their REAL doctors to question and not the terrifying world of Dr. Google!
