Okay, thanks ladies. I'll try to change the time in FF to get rid of the circles and try not to stress.

@teacherbee: you can input the time you took your temp on FF, which will help with those circles. I also tend to run a little warmer right after AF ends, then it levels out to regular Pre-O temps. I wouldn't stress too much about it.

It took me a couple of months to get the hang of temping and be able to easily read my data. I think it helps to try to be really consistent but realize that you will need to gather more info to be able to clearly see patterns.

I'm not sure why the app marked them like that. I normally take my temperature at 6am and then input it into my phone later that day when I get a chance. Maybe it's thinking that i'm taking my temperatures at different times because of that?

The clear circles on several days- why are they marked as 'unreliable'? That could have a huge impact - if you look at only the solid circles, they're generally within the same temp range.

Here is an updated graph (same data, different app). I also had some breakthrough bleeding today which has thrown me off because that never happens. I'm CD 15.

@teacherbee: sorry it's being so frustrating! It can take awhile to get the hang of it. Your O day would follow 3 temps higher than the past 6. Hopefully you get some more reliable temps in the next few days!

No, I didn't just get off the pill and haven't been ill or drank alcohol. Does it just happen randomly? I'm hoping it doesn't interfere with being able to identify when I ovulate. :(

@Winnie13: Lots of things can cause random spikes. Restless sleep, illness, drinking alcohol.... Did you just come off the pill because there's also the possibility that your hormones are out of whack still. It doesn't look like you've ovulated yet. Sometimes those spikes can really mess with your mind because they get you hopeful. Good luck!

Hi,

I just starting charting my temperatures and was looking for help interpreting my chart. I've been taking it the same time every morning before getting out of bed but there's a huge spike/drop that I don't understand. I thought it stays pretty much the same until ovulation then spikes? I have a 32 day cycle and normally ovulate day 18. I just started reading Taking Charge Of Your Fertility so still a total newbie. Thoughts?
