We used a saline swab (ped recommended) and just gently cleaned with a qtip. Cleared up in about 2 weeks I think.

My LO had that too--we didn't do anything, and at his next pedi appt the doctor just wiped it out with an alcohol swab. She told us not to do anything to it though.

Charlie's cord fell off just before she was 1 week, now she is 4 weeks old. She had a diaper blowout that went up the front last week, so I cleaned her up and gave her a bath. Now the past couple days I noticed there's some crusty stuff inside and deeper inside is kind of red, not the outside though.

Is there something I should put on it, vaseline or neosporin? I don't think it warrants a trip to the dr just yet.
