They go through so many diapers during those days that it ended up working well for us because they were reasonably priced and super easy to wash and dry. She doesn't wake up when she pees in her AppleCheeks or her Rumparooz, but every time she pees in the BG she wakes up. And I actually think that they would've fit fine at birth when she was 8 lb. </p> <p>We don't CD at night though, because she wakes up and cries when she pees (which she doesn't do in disposables. It's all very overwhelming but I THINK I want to try prefolds with covers for the newborn stage before going to pockets after (maybe?). Just wondered what you used for the newborn stage? It seems expensive to buy newborn AIOs that won't be used for long... If i do go for prefolds, do I still need a few AIOs for nighttime? Thanks x </p>
