I agree with extra outfits instead of just a onesie. Never know when spit-up or a pop-tastrophe will happen.

If you're FF, one of those little divider guys that you pre-measure it into.

I carry almost nothing, I keep diapers in the car and in the bottom of the stroller in a changing bag (pad and holder for diapers/wipes all in one).

For a newborn, I needed extra clothing, like an entire outfit plus a warmer layer, just in case it was cooler where we were going. I also always had a bottle of water for me.

I agree with the extra outfits and the bags for dirty diapers or dirty clothes. I also keep formula, a bottle, and multiple bibs. My girl is a definite spitter-upper.

@mediagirl: Yes! Forgot to mention the grocery sacks for dirty diapers. Good one.

Need to add a top for me. Thanks for the suggestion.

5-6 diapers. Girl, you never know. 2 burp cloths, wipes, a bib, bottles (if you're bottle feeding), formula (if you need it in a pinch if you're bottle feeding), a second top for you, two different outfits for her (if you have a spitter-upper). Oh, and bags to put your dirty diapers in if you're not near a trash can. Multiple pacifiers, AA blanket, changing pad.

Everything you mentioned is what was in my bag! I always carried 4-6 diapers with me.

ETA: Oh, nursing pads.

I'm trying to get our diaper bag somewhat packed for when our daughter is here. What things did you carry when your LO was a newborn? I have the basics:

diapers (but how many?)
wipes
burp cloths
a and a blanket
extra onesie
pacifier (although who knows if she'll take one at all, let alone this specific kind)

Anything else you can think of? I don't want to be the stereotypical first timer who looks like she's moving in every time I go somewhere but I don't want to be stuck somewhere without either.
