LO takes about a minute to get the "latch" and then there's always some dribble out the corners of her mouth with the bottle!

She has only had 3 so far, I think the first was the best, and they've gotten messier since!

It's a new skill for them to learn, so it takes practice. LO figured out the bottle after a few days, but it was a few weeks before we could go without a bib.

Ooooh this has been happening to us a lot! She also gulps too fast and chokes, which is what happened last night and scared me to death. This afternoon I bought the Madela Calma nipple that makes baby do a lot more work and mimics breastfeeding with a slower flow. Am hoping she likes it!

ours took awhile to get the suction down...like a good seal on the bottle nipple. so they wore bibs for a month maybe since a lot dribbled on their chin and neck. DD got the hang of it pretty fast, within a few days probably, and DS took longer, but he's a pickier eater in general.

I introduced the bottle to my LO this past week and she seems to kind of gets the sucking motion sometimes but forgets to swallow and the milk ends up just dribbling down her chin. Will she learn and get better at it? Did your newborn just "get" how to bottle feed right away or did it take some practice?
