It's normal, I held my twins for naps for a very long time. Nothing got gone around my house but they did nap and I got lots of snuggle time

Is it normal for newborns to only nap if they're being held? At night, my boys will go to sleep in their crib by themselves without being rocked, no problem. But their naps during the day are a different story. They cry the moment I put them down, even if they've already fallen asleep. They're only 3 weeks old. Is this normal? Am I expecting too much?
