I found a cheaper alternative through a friends announcements. I asked around and found a friend of a friend that came to me for &amp;300 total with 50 edited photos and no need to order anything through her. I don't know if you tried that route. Honestly I think all baby photographers for newborn shoots are similar. The poses are usually similar as well. Pick a photographer that you feel comfortable with, and absolutely love his/her photos. I have no problems going there, but her digital package seems a little sparse. The digital files for $300 only include 15 pics and the "This Little Piggy" collection for $400 only includes 10 pics. I don't quite like how it's specified and limited to how many pics you can get, but the price is better. I've emailed Melissa Lyn to get an idea of how many pics she typically has for a newborn session. If it's about the same (15), then I think Ashlynn is a great contender. I really think its worth the money although I didn't spend nearly as much but I don't live in a big metropolitan area like OC. Maternity photos on the other hand I felt like I could do with out.
