But, I had a scheduled csection at 9am, so by noon, I was recovered and had makeup and hair done. I would love to have pics of those first special hours, and when LO1 meets LO2 and such. Plus, I dunno....3-4 hours in a studio sounds awful to me. The hospital is a crazy place. There are nurses and doctors in and out and they won't (can't) wait for a photographer to leave. If you're going to breastfeed you'll probably spend the better part of your second day doing nothing but that. And if you do have an hour with baby off boob you should probably try to take a nap because you'll be exhausted. Trying to find the time to look nice and clean up the room a bit (looked like a bomb went off in our hospital room lol) and then devote 2 hrs to picture taking on day 2 sounds stressful. Have DH iPhone video your DD meeting the baby. They were not great photos, but they were not $$$ either. I'm not a big fan of studio photos in general, so I'd pick B given these choices. Would include 3-4 hours of shooting: newborn alone, mom &amp; baby, dad &amp; baby, sister &amp; baby, family together.</p> <p>B) In-hospital "Baby's First Day" photo-journalistic style shoot (with a professional photographer) that would capture baby's first day of life &amp; his first time meeting Big Sister. Would include some "newborn" style shots of baby, as well as detail shots of his tiny features. Session is about 2 hours long.</p> <p>I would LOVE to do both but it will end up to be crazy expensive and we can't swing it. My daughter is 4 and she is so crazy excited to meet her bother, which is the main reason why this is even on my mind.. </p>
