He was 21 inches, and 8lb 2oz. I had hardly ANY NB stuff. Just two sleepers, one overalls outfit and a couple onesies. Someone had bought me a preemie outfit and it fit perfectly! He was 7 lbs 1.4 oz at birth, 6 lbs 9 oz when we left the hospital.<br /> I wished I'd had more too. We had to wash his sleepers everyday, and they were still so big on him. For the first couple weeks, since we were at home anyway, we mostly just had him swaddled up in blankets, or skin-to-skin with me with a blanket on his back. </p> <p>He didn't outgrow his NB clothes until about 3 months old, just recently. He is 3.5 mos and is in 0-3 and some 3-6 mos. Everyone told me not to bother with NB sizes, but I'm glad I didn't listen. I ended up sending my MIL out to shop for NB size onesies and PREEMIE size pants because I didn't like dressing him in loose clothes. He wore NB sizes until just before hitting 3 months... then he moved up to 3 month until just before 6 months.. etc. The only time he kind of jumped sizes before he actually turned that age was 18 months.
