We're also really lucky that she slept at least one long stretch right from the start.

6 weeks with my first.

8 weeks with my second (started doing one 4 hour stretch and the rest shorter). Previously was up every 2-3. No super long stretches of 5+ until 11ish weeks.

At 6 weeks he started going 5 hours occasionally which progressed quickly from there. Since 10 or 11 weeks he has been sleeping from 10 to 7 nightly, but he's only 16 weeks now so we haven't hit any sleep regressions yet...

After 5 months when we sleep trained for going to sleep. She would have a long stretch then. Eeek. Prior to that....3 hour stretches were miracles. It was hard.

Both my boys stretched their sleep past 3 hours at about 8 weeks. They started to go about 5 hours then. By 12 weeks when I went back to work, DS1 only had one wake up. DS2 still had 2.

@LAZB: lucky! I didn't have a choice. My LO has been an early-to-bed, early-to-rise girl since day 1.

Around 2 weeks she started having one stretch of 4-4.5 hours. Now at 5 weeks she has not done that for a few days :(
@Anagram: we aren't putting L down until around 10 because the first stretch is the longest and I want to sleep as much as possible haha.

My LO started sleeping a first stretch of 6-7 hours around 2 months old....BUT right after she turned 3 months, she hit the "4th month regression" early and started waking up every 2 hours and that lasted for months and months and months until we sleep trained (more than once) when she was around 7 months old.

Also, that first stretch was something like 7pm-1am (on a great day, 2 am) and I was totally off my own normal sleep schedule and was having insomnia issues, so most nights I wouldn't fall asleep till 11-12 am, and then LO would be up an hour later. =(

I always had to wake lo to eat. When I stopped waking her at 4 weeks she was sleeping 5+ hrs. But don't worry, I got mine when she hit 4mo. Lol

I want to say 6 or 8 weeks. She could do a 4-5 stretch for the first part of the night at that point. Then 4 month regression hit at 12 weeks and that went away.

When did your baby start stretching night time sleep longer than 3 hours? I know all babies are different, but I'm curious! :)
