Olivia was a good 6-8 weeks of TORTURE (mastitis week 6, then thrush). I felt like a dope not remembering anything about nursing a baby that doesn't know what they're doing. C had trouble latching on the beginning too. Thankfully the learning curve was shorter this time. I suffered a bad latch with L for six weeks. C took a week to master latching (mainly because I forgot how to nurse a newborn and how to 'hook' her onto the nipple) so I wasn't sure what was normal nipple soreness or thrush. Last night she nursed the bad side and a callous/blister came off and the pain has diminished a TON.
