@oliviaoblivia: Same! Olivia was a good 6-8 weeks of TORTURE (mastitis week 6, then thrush). I felt like a dope not remembering anything about nursing a baby that doesn't know what they're doing. My last memory was nursing a toddler! Haha. Hope you guys feel better soon!! That pain is terrible.

@Mae: @hilsy85: Sounds good to me - one less thing to worry about :)

@sorrycharlie: treats it. C had trouble latching on the beginning too. Thankfully the learning curve was shorter this time. I suffered a bad latch with L for six weeks. This go around I called the LC five days in.

@sorrycharlie: I think it treats it as well, since there's an anti fungal in it? I never wiped it off.

@oliviaoblivia: I don't *think* we have thrush, but my blocked duct/mastitis/thrush experience with O has caused me like, nursing PTSD. C took a week to master latching (mainly because I forgot how to nurse a newborn and how to 'hook' her onto the nipple) so I wasn't sure what was normal nipple soreness or thrush. Last night she nursed the bad side and a callous/blister came off and the pain has diminished a TON. So I'm hoping that's all it was.

Does the APNO treat thrush, or just prevent it?

I never wiped it off, it was always totally absorbed.

@sorrycharlie: we have thrush. It's definitely helped with my soreness. Hope you and C aren't going through that with us.

@oliviaoblivia: excellent - I read online that you didn't have to, but wanted to be certain. I haven't noticed it really do anything yet but everyone raves about it, so hoping it works its magic quickly ;)

My instructions say not to wipe it off. Our pediatrician works at the Newman clinic so I'd tend to believe him.

I just picked up my prescription earlier today - the instructions say to wipe off before feeding. However, there's nothing there to wipe off, haha..am I not using enough? Or if it's absorbed, do I still have to wipe it off?

What did you do?
