The leather is soft and the foot is padded but no real arch support. Most sandals, including those Nine West ones, seem to have no padding at all. </p> <p>I only wear Reef flip flops and love them, but they are still flip flips, so very casual. I buy a new pair of the Ginger every year and wear them to the ground. </p>
