My name is Alison, most people call me Ali and that's how I introduce myself as an adult, but as a child everyone called me Al. My Mom hated it and would always correct people and declare that was most certainly not my NN. She was uptight about it and claimed it made me sound like a truck driver. Anyways, it's a weird memory to have as a kid, and regardless of how much my Mom did not care for it, the NN stuck, my Dad even still calls me Al. We have a very long and hard to pronounce/complex last name, so a nickname would be a nice option for her to have? Any suggestions? </p>
