I had to fill out official name paperwork as part of my discharge after my c-setion in the big hospital, but we also had to fill out a bunch of paperwork within the NICU that had his name and DOB on it. I did the same but never heard about it. You just reminded me that I sent in the paperwork I was given because I wanted a copy of my medical records...months later nothing. We finally filled out and submitted it by the end of his first week. How and when does that happen for NICU babies? All of that worry over figuring out a name before discharge and our baby is still nameless in the eyes of the law! </p>
