Our LO's are similar size. My almost 10 mo is on the low end of weight as well. Still in size threes for daytime. Probably only 16.5 lbs. Maybe a tiny bit more. She's in swaddlers during the day and I just went up a size to Huggies overnight 4s. They look huge on her but no leaks. I pull them up as high as I can and do the tabs in a low "v". My caveat is that she has thin legs as she is on the smaller side (long and lean) so sometimes there is a tiny bit of poo leakage especially when the diaper is probably already saturated and it is always from the top of her thighs.

The only diapers that worked well for us is a size up, pampers extra protection overnights. She pees A LOT at night, and even with those diapers, those things weigh like 10 lbs when she wakes up. (Okay, I am exaggerating, but they hold a lot of pee).

Kirkland always leaked for us, he'd be in the diaper for an hour or so and it would leak. And I think they're essentially supposed to be Huggies? We had a big overnight wetting phase, and now we use Target overnights and haven't had a problem.

I know you just ordered Pampers but since you already CD during the day, I'll tell you what worked for us as a nighttime CD solution: Bummis hemp inserts. We place them on top of the BG freetime and go up a rise setting (we used to use the same rise setting as daytime until last month). we found that the insets didn't fit right with our RAR pockets (and we got leaks), so restrict those to day use. We tried disposables at night, but always got leaks. We almost never have leaks now, and he wears them all through the night just another option if sizing up doesn't work for you

We use pampers baby dry at night, in the biggest size they do (6+) even though he's nowhere near the reccomended weight. I have also tried putting a cloth booster in a disposable, and using disposable boosters, both of whic worked but was a palaver for a disposables user!

LO went through a couple phases where she was soaking through her diapers at night - we sized up with the Pampers overnights and doubled up on diapers. Both methods worked well until she got through the phase.

We always size up for overnight diapers. So he wears size 5's in the up&up brand during the day, and size 6 pampers extra protection overnight.

I would definitely size up first or see if you can find a nighttime diaper in that size.

I've been most satisfied with Pampers Baby Dry; we sometimes sized up at night before we needed to size up during the day.

I can't help you with disposables but two thoughts about cloth: We CD too and had to double up his diapers when he started sleeping through the night. He also had about week where he started peeing through his double stuffed diapers and I started to research what to add but out of the blue he stopped and was fine. I think a growth spurt was contributing to the extra pee.

I went through a phase with DD when she was peeing through 3 or 4 nights a week...was driving me crazy! She too is on the small size usually...she was in 4 pampers during the day - on the recommendation of daycare I tried Huggies 5 overnights and they worked. I just was sure to put her in snug pants in case the diaper was a bit big.

It must have just been a phase bc now we are back in size 4 pampers overnights with no issues!

My son is quite long and slender (he's 16.5 months, 22 pounds, and in size 4 Pampers Cruisers. He's been in them for at least 2 months and we've never had a pee problem with them.

I know my mom friends with heavy soakers use the Huggies overnights with doubler pads like this:

We just dropped DD down to 1 nap. She's 10.5 months. Well now she is STTN 13-14 hours. Which is awesome. But now she is peeing (yesterday a blowout too) through her diapers, jams and sheets. We CD during the day and so far have used Kirkland and Huggies overnight with the same result. She's at the low end for weight (17.5 lbs) for size 3s. Should we go up a size? Could you recommend another brand?
