My son wakes up dry more often than not, but I still keep him in a pull up at night because I WOHM and can't deal with laundry during the week. I'd do whatever makes life easiest, because you can't really night train anyway.

I waited until they were dry for 14 days in a row - if they peed on night 7 - I started over.

Once you start night training, when do you ditch the diapers? DS has been waking up dry more often than not, but he still wakes up wet now and then. My gut feeling is he'll keep this up for a few more months. Should I just wait until he never has accidents to put away the diapers? He's asked for his undies a few times, but I said no... I think everyone's morning will be ruined if he wakes up in a puddle!
