Bedsharing. I fall asleep halfway through a feeding, usually. I know it's not for very one, but it works well for me!

Bed sharing and turning on my stomach to doze back off has worked well for me. And now that DD is bottle fed, I make DH do the 2-3am feeding on the evenings she doesn't STTN. He can fall back asleep like a narcolept, whereas I have more trouble.

For the first few weeks I had no problem at all falling back asleep. But lately it takes a long time which sucks because the second stretch of her sleep is usually only two hours. I've been bad about the screen time though. As her first stretch of sleep is getting longer I guess my body is like, cool, its five am lets be awake.

I do everything I can (keep everything dark, no screen time, keep eyes closed while nursing) but sometimes insomnia just takes over and I don't sleep between feedings, it's the worst!

I limit screen time. If I really have a tough time getting back to sleep, I'll start tightening and then loosening my muscles one at a time from my feet all the way up to my head.

I found that once I started bring him into bed with me to night nurse and then co-sleep... I slept better. And like EMG86 said above mine slept better too!

Cosleeping/nursing in bed. She doesn't wake up anymore at night but those first few weeks we just stayed in bed. Made a huge difference and she slept longer too.

I've always been a terrible sleeper but I rarely have a problem with this, bizarrely. I have to go to the fridge for her bottle, mix the powder in and warm it and yet I fall straight to sleep afterwards! If I can't resist the temptation to look at my phone and check FB or HB, its game over though! I can't drop off after screen time!!

I stopped recording feedings after two weeks home. I left the room dark and kept my eyes closed the entire time I nursed so that I stayed in a 1/2 asleep transition.

Co-sleeping. If I get up and walk back to DS's room I'm wide awake, so I'm just keeping him in our room until he stops waking at night. It's not a perfect solution, but I'm getting some sleep!

It got sooo much better for me after 4 months. Something clicked and I could just pass back out. Before that I'd eat a snack and stretch in the dark and then count my inhales to fall asleep.

Some nights I can't fall back asleep. So I end up doing some mundane tasks, like folding laundry, or reading stuff online until I get sleepy again. :( Some nights, I'm so exhausted, I just bring baby back to bed, nurse side-lying and hope we all fall back asleep.

Eventually you become so exhausted all the time that it's easy to fall back asleep! Oh wait...

I have no advice! It sounds like you're doing everything right and I'm not really sure what MORE you can do. :(

Spin off from my other post: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/when-did-you-night-wean

If you are still waking to feed baby, how do YOU get back to sleep after? I am limiting screen time (just use Baby Connect to track the feeding), feeding in a dark, quiet room, have the monitor on the lowest setting that still wakes me. But I find I can lie there for up to an hour before drifting back off. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
