@MrsSRS: So he didn't start freaking out when you gave just a little bit? That's great. Need to try this out!

@Goldengirl: That's why we stepped it down slowly. Once it got small enough I think it just wasn't worth waking up for. He also took a binky so if he woke we'd offer that first.

@MrsSRS: I've read of similar methods like that... and you found it worked? On the last night, he was just okay with only getting an ounce or whatever it was? I feel like anything less than 6 ounces and my guy will be like, what the hell, you're tricking me! :P

@Pollywog: we combo fed with DS, and we dropped night feedings by decreasing the bottle size by half an ounce every 2 days.

I didn't, but what others on my moms board recommended was decreasing the formula and increasing the water in the bottles (by reducing a scoop every few days). By the time it is a quarter strength they won't be interested. Good luck!

LO is 6.5 months and is EFF. He gets more than enough to eat during the day, but is still waking up once a night to eat, anywhere from 2-5AM typically. He's slept through the night a couple times before so I know he can do it. Is it possible he still needs that feed/needs more than the average baby? Or is it just a habit? Does anyone who bottle-fed have any experience you can share with night weaning and when/how you did it?
