Right now I can't reply individually, but thanks everyone! a basic response: I hope to continue exclusively breastfeeding via pumping, and I have 3 sets of pump parts plus extra membranes and valves. When I'm back at work, we are cloth diapering Mon-Wed and on the weekends.

@DesertDreams88: If you're worried about someone walking in, you can also throw a nursing cover on. It might still be an awkward conversation, but at least they won't see anything you don't want them to!

I bought a second pump to keep at work, and just take the bottles and flanges back and forth in my cooler bag. I bought tons of extra bottles and a second set of flanges, too.

At night I pack my lunch and bags, make sure the pump parts are clean, and pick out my clothes. I also portion out the day's pumped milk and freeze it.

In the morning, LO wakes up around 7:30, nurses, we get dressed, play a bit, have breakfast, then I load the pump parts in the cooler bag (it lives in the freezer overnight), grab my bag and we head out the door by 8:45.

Our daycare keeps her bottles there and washes them for us. I drop off frozen bags of milk once a week. Once a month or so I bring in more diapers and wipes. They keep several changes of extra clothes there for her. I appreciate their system because most mornings I don't have to remember to take anything at all for LO!

@DesertDreams88: get freemies! You cannot tell you're pumping other than the noise. My coworker has meetings (with people she's closest to) while using them!

@avivoca: yep, I have the hands-free bra- I appreciate the suggestion! I've considered it, but I'm a bit nervous because I have one door into my classroom that I can't lock and another door that only locks 50% of the time... I could put up a sign but yeah... I don't want to EVER have conversations with 4th-8th graders about pumping  . I might try it out but it probably won't be an every day thing.

I plan to use my pump time for checking & replying work emails on my phone; and editing / sifting / uploading / deleting the bajillion photos I've taken of LO on my phone. I always notice a pump output difference when I look at the photos.

DH is in charge of daycare around here, so he does all the prep, and he prefers to wait until the morning. Our morning routine:
6:00 DH dumps DD into bed with me, I nurse her, DH goes downstairs to let the dogs out and feed them
6:10 I get DD diapered and dressed while DH showers and dresses himself
6:20 I play with DD while DH pulls out the bottles I pumped the previous day and puts new nipples/caps on them, pulls fresh cloth diapers out of the basket, puts everything into the daycare bag
6:30 DH and DD leave to drive to daycare, I begin showering and getting ready for the workday

You get into a rhythm pretty quickly. It's really not all that much stuff, particularly if you aren't breastfeeding and cloth diapering.

[ETA] I save a lot of time by having a million extra bottles, caps, and pumping parts. I have an extra pump and pump parts that stay at work and never come home, and I use microwave sterilizer bags to clean them at the office. Bottles get washed in our regular dishwashing routine since we have so many extras we don't worry about them not being clean when we need them. I collected all that stuff by asking around on Buy Nothing and mom forums - LOTS of people were looking to unload items. I carry in a ton of clean bottles/caps at the beginning of the week so I don't have to worry about it most mornings.

@DesertDreams88: Will you be pumping in your classroom? If you have a Simple Wishes bra, you would have your hands free to grade/enter grades, type lesson plans, or do your editing. I wasn't able to do that very often, but I did appreciate the times when my coworker was out of the office and I could catch up a bit during my pump sessions.

@avivoca: some days I definitely might, but during my prep period and lunch I'll have to pump, and I have to leave work right away after school that I can get home and nurse him. So I need some time to grade student work, enter grades, make copies, type lesson plans, and edit materials/powerpoints/tests.

I prepped everything I could the night before: freeze milk, washed bottles, packed up my pump supplies, etc. and in the morning my husband was responsible for thawing milk and prepping the bottles. If I had 1.5 hours to myself in the morning, I would honestly go back to sleep for an hour.

I prep as much as possible the night before, but we have a tight morning schedule (up at 6 & out the door with 2 kiddos by 7). In the evening I:
- wash pump & bottle parts (plus dinner dishes) & tidy kitchen
- pack lunch, set aside breakfast, make baby's bottles, & get coffee ready for the am
- pack my work bag, pump bag, & kids' bags (bottles, cloth diapers, random things needed)
- set out clothes for myself & kids
- do chores (laundry, quick clean, etc)

All I do in the morning is get us dressed & ready, feed the kids, make a cup of coffee, and take breakfast to go in the car. But if I had an hour solo each morning, I'd probably eat at home & do some household chores or dinner prep. Also, I have two sets of pump parts & two days worth of bottles so I can pack up the night before.

Yeap, we keep a checklist taped to the door leading out to the garage (mostly in the rare case DH has to prep the daycare bags) but it helps.

At night, I lay out my outfit and DS' outfit for the next day, put the daycare bags in the car, and prep DS' breakfast and sippy cup and stick it in the fridge so I can just nuke for a few seconds and hand it to him in the morning (I imagine this is like prepping your bottles to grab and go in the morning). Set up the coffee and clean commuter mugs on the counter. Make sure you have a good breakfast and lunch ready to go for the morning. I usually keep my lunch bag on the counter so I can dump everything in there and run out the door.

If I was still BF/pumping, I would have 2 sets of pump parts and always have the clean/dry stuff in the bag and in the car at night while the other set dries on the counter. I would also have 2 days worth of bottles too, so one set can be dirty or in the process of being washed or dried while the other set is already in the fridge and ready to go. Same with pacis, loveys, paci clips, etc. I'm a big believer in dupes! I would buy several ice packs and just keep them in the freezer - forgetting to freeze one is a bummer.

I got everything (that I could) ready the night before - bottles for daycare, any items he needed in his daycare bag, outfits set out, etc. Then in the morning, my husband just change to grab everything and go.

This was my usual morning:

4:30 - shower
5:00 - makeup, hair, prepare bottles (if they weren't ready)
5:30 - change baby's diaper, nurse, put back to bed
6:00 - pump!
6:30 - pack pump, pump flanges, empty bottles, cooler; get dressed
6:50 - leave for work!

Like @catomd00: I kept the pump flanges and empty bottles in the cooler in the fridge so I just had to grab it and go.

Peep everything the night before you need to take and put it in the car (pump, diaper bag, etc). Keep bottles in a cooler bag in the fridge to grab in the morning. I kept a checklist by the door of the essentials so I could do a quick double check before I left. It's really hard at first to remember everything!

I breastfeed and cloth diaper. So ideal evening routine is as follows (I have spare everything so there can be a dirty set and a clean set):
-dinner, feed baby, baby to bed
-prep daycare bottles for next day and leave in fridge
-wash previous day's bottles and breastpump parts and set out to air dry
-put cloth diapers in daycare bag
-put breastpump parts in my work bag
-put work and daycare bag in car
-hang cooler bag on door so I don't forget it in morning
-if I won't be buying lunch, prep my lunch bag and put in fridge next to baby bottles

Morning routine depends on the day but the important things are feed baby, make sure milk and lunch go in car, and make sure I have phone, wallet, keys, and baby when I go out the door

I go back to work in 2.5 weeks, LO will be 2.5 months. I will be waking up around 5, 5:15 to feed, change, and dress LO. Then DH will take him to a friend that will be watching him for the day. From 6-7:30 I can be at home doing chores, pumping, getting ready for work, and maybe doing some work (I'm a teacher.)

What things do you do at night? What things do you do in the morning? I'm thinking about like diaper bag prep, bottle prep, outfits, etc. I usually prefer to do everything at night because I'm scared of forgetting something in the morning, but some things have to wait until morning....?
