We have to change D (2.5yo) twice in the middle of the night to avoid this, although he's getting fed by his feeding tube every night too. We use huggies overnights with a diaper booster (like a maxi pad for extra absorbency). I hope the 6s work for you!

We use pampers baby dry also, and it's been great. @gingerbebe: how soon after dinner after you putting DS to bed? My DD is the same age as your son, and we try to wait at least an hour after meal/drink before we put her to bed because she often will poop between that time.

@junebugsmama: I think he must be pooping sometime in the very early morning because the stuff soaking through is brown - like he'd had to have pooped and then peed some more on top of it at some point.

It's so annoying because DS automatically thinks it's party time if we ever go in to him after we say goodnight, so going to change him in the MOTN would not work.

I bought a pack of Pampers baby dry in size 6 tonight so we'll see how he does tomorrow night. He ate an absolutely massive dinner and then drank a lot of water in the bath (he asks DH to pour him cold tap water into one of his stacking cups and practices drinking out of an open cup - he's not drinking funk water!) so tomorrow morning's diaper is gonna be a treat.

I really like pampers baby dry for night time! Do you think he's pooping first thing in the morning or earlier?

My toddler often has a BM in her nighttime diaper. I'm not sure if she poops and it wakes her up or vice versa. We use the nighttime Pampers Baby Dry and have rarely had a problem with the BM leaking. She goes through periods of totally soaking the diaper and it leaking pee, but we've had good luck with just doubling up on the diapers and she doesn't leak.

Okay gross question: DSJUST moved to size 5 diapers - like we were using them at night and were trying to finish up the size 4s because he technically still met the weight requirements. Anyways, in the last week or so he's had a massive growth spurt and is eating like a horse, especially in the afternoon/evening and drinking a ton of milk and water. The problem is he doesn't poop before bed. He's remarkably STTN and everything but when he wakes up his diaper is overflowing with pee and a massive BM, soaking through his pajamas and the inside of his sleep sack. And more often than not we have to change his sheets too. Like the diaper is legit 5 pounds and falling off him! We use Pampers Cruisers - do you think an overnight diaper would help for BMs? Or should we move to size 6 diapers? Or should we just deal until the growth spurt is over since he's sleeping through? I've heard of heavy wetting but heavy night pooping is a new one!
