It works well, melts most of the ice but doesn't leave you with a watery drink. </p> <p>I will say though that after about a month the washable filter just stopped working and I started getting sludge in my coffee and it tasted burnt. I started using paper filters instead and that fixed the problem. It wasn't a deal breaker for me since I found a cheap and easy solution. </p> <p> Just like any standard coffee maker there is more room to adjust how strong or weak you want your coffee, but more by adjusting the amount of grinds than the amount of water.</p> <p>ETA: if you are switching from a kurig it is expensive but worth it for features. I've only made one cup but my first impressions are good! For a basic cup of coffee it is like a cross between regular coffee maker and keurig. You pick the coffee, it adds the water.
