@citymouse: I don't know anything about anything but could you wear those nipple shields in your bra? Or do those poke out like way obvious? I'm thinking you need something to help your nipples keep their shape.

Trying getting the nursing bra and see if that helps. You'll need one or two when the baby comes so it won't be a total waste of $$. I know my girlfriends found wearing sports bras more comfy...

I'm having a similar problem! I haven't found a way around it other then wearing only the bras that had almost too big cups. I also wear cotton sports bras when I can.

I don't have any advice for you. I had never really ever had nipple pain before I was pregnant (mine too grew and changed), especially when it got cold. It lasted throughout my pregnancy and now that I'm BFing. Your post reminded me that nipple pain was once new :)

Good luck!

Before being pregnant, I had flat nipples. They have definitely changed their shape a bit and now protrude all the time. I recently switched to a larger pregnancy/nursing bra because my other bras were too tight (ribs have expanded) and they were crushing my breast/nips. However, this bra is also crushing my nips (the rest is great though!) It presses my nips inward and causes me so. much. pain. Every few hours I have to pull and hold the cup away and let my nipples regain shape and stop hurting.

Is there a better bra for me to be wearing? Do I just need to suck it up and deal?
