But with my kid I got a bundle me because he won't leave the blanket alone. I've tried just tucking a blanket around him but he gets his hands on it and pulls it out while trying to suck on it and then it's covering his face and he gets mad. Be careful of those covers because some of them are actually unsafe for use in carseats in the car (obviously they are fine if you are just using the stroller). But if you park in your garage and drive everywhere it will be fine with blankets. My son was born in April last year, and we mostly just used fleece jackets and blankets last year with the bucket seat.
