@blackbird: These are for you right? I'm looking for ideas for LO, but thanks!

@regberadaisy: That's a great idea! I'll have to make some noodle soup next week! I've been doing a lot of dumplings and wonton too. No, DH is almost never home for dinner, which poses another problem too. BC I get too lazy to make a meal for 1 all the time, we end up going out or getting something to-go all the time.

@NovBaby1112: It's embarrassing how often LO gets chicken nuggets or fish sticks.

I totally feel you- I have zero appetite for dinner and can't even think of things to make bc they all sound so gross to me. I've been doing fruit, veggies, and some sort of easy pasta dish for LO since those are her favorites and easy to make. Also, lots of fish sticks or chicken nuggets. I just haven't appetite to cooks meal.

Soup? You can have DH make a big pot then portion into quart containers and freeze them. You won't even have to remember to defrost them! Put them right into a pot, frozen, on low and it'll melt and boil within 15m.

My fall back when pregnant was noodle soup for my LO. I always have homemade stock in the freezer. Add some leftover meats or frozen shrimp, some kind of veg (broccoli!) and rice noodles. I have a super quick, easy and heathy meal for her.

I've also made breakfast for dinner a few times when I was just way too exhausted from working all day.

Is your DH around at dinner time? My DH did a lot of the dinner cooking when I was pregnant! Have him make bigger portions so all you have to do the next day is reheat.

Lots of no cook options-fruit, beans, cheese, hummus, avocado, salami....when you make something, baggy it out for later to just reheat

I feel like I've had little to no appetite this pregnancy. I usually enjoy the taste and variety of foods - I'm a foodie! With DD, I had a LOT of food aversions and constantly wanted sweets. This time, not so much with the aversions, but I never feel like I want anything. I'll even forget about meals completely and usually wake up hungry.

What makes it worse is I need to cook/prepare/feed DD - who is also very nonchalant about eating. I feel so guilty, I've been feeding her dinner an hour before her late bedtime! She doesn't ask for food and it will totally slip my mind lately.

Did anyone else experience this and what did you cook for yourself and LO? I need ideas besides pastas, noodles, andrice. Oh, and DD is not a fan of sandwiches.
