you could bake a pasta dish and then freeze it so that she can just throw it in the oven. You can do them individual sized (in ramekins) or in those single use aluminium trays.

@mrs.shinerbock: they do but I'm going to use their online delivery service and I don't think the prepared meals are available for delivery yet. But stuff like cole slaw, potato salad, etc are.

ETA: OK, I just checked and their prepared foods are available now! awesome.

Rotisserie chicken, staples like cereal and milk, fruit, veggies and hummus, chicken salad, pasta salad.

Does the local grocery store have a good in-store prepared food section? Some of our local ones have really great prepared foods like kale salad, chicken salad, Mac 'n cheese, and cooked entrees that just have to be heated up.

What about a rotisserie chicken! I always like that for a sandwich better than cold cuts. Or just eat cold chicken. Yum. Cut-up veggies and fruit?

I want to send a food care package to DH's aunt from a local grocery store. Her daughter is in the ICU for head trauma due to a crazy freak accident. Please send prayers or thoughts!

It's just the aunt who is I think staying with her 15/16 year old grandson while the mom is in the hospital. All her other kids live out of state.

What are some things i can get from the grocery store that won't require her to cook? I'm thinking granola bars, cold cuts & bread, canned tuna, maybe some baked goods from the bakery for breakfast.

Any other good food or dinner ideas?
