A few people brought her cards and someone brought a balloon (which was actually awesome), because she didn't feel right showing up empty-handed. </p> <p>At the bottom of the invite I just said, "Please RSVP - no gifts, pretty please!" I'd like to invite a lot of our friends and have a big celebratory party (just as much for us as him). Most of our friends who would be attending don't have kids and I don't want anyone to feel obligated to bring a present for LO (he has enough clothes/toys due to generous family members). </p> <p>Would you say "no gifts" on the invite or just not mention it and if anyone asks tell them no gifts or suggest a book instead? </p>
