I was like you with my first pregnancy, only had a few bouts of MS every once in a while but with this second baby, for the first almost 7 weeks I was constantly nauseated but never actually threw up.

It's so interesting seeing these responses - thanks : )

The 12 week mark is SO close I'm getting so excited! I did have some nausea last week (week 11) but really nothing bad. In the end I'm happy that I wasn't puking my guts out these past few months!

I didnt have any with my pregnancy either. My doctor told me that its a fallacy and unproven that MS=less miscarriage risk. I didnt have ANY pregnancy symptoms till the boobs came from weeks 8-10, then they went away. It made me paranoid because I didnt feel pregnant, so I know how you feel there =o) Congrats on the great news!

I didn't have any morning sickness during my pregnancy. I kept waiting for it to happen, but nothing ever did. It's a good thing, because it was a long way from my desk to the ladies room!

having no morning sickness is a blessing, but i definitely understand you wanting to feel sick so you know everything is ok... that's how i felt too!

i was really sick until about 14 weeks when it started subsiding. my mom had bad morning sickness too. but i know plenty of women who had no morning sickness at all and went on to have healthy babies!

So, here's a little update on this - I still haven't had any bad morning sickness, but this week (week 11) I've been a little nauseous the past few days. AND, I had a fabulous ultrasound yesterday where the doctor said everything looked wonderful and that she felt our risk of miscarriage was VERY low and she was comfortable if we wanted to start to tell people! We're going to wait a few more weeks until after my NT scan, but it was certainly a relief to hear that things are going well (despite no morning sickness!)

@winniebee - I haven't had it too bad. I had a few bad days but never threw up. Mostly I get nauseous when I brush my teeth and go for my molars. My gag reflex apparently is in the middle of my mouth now. lol. I have all those other symptoms, though - hungry a lot, tired, bloated.

I didn't have any at all. No nausea, and I didn't puke once the entire pregnancy. I did lose my appetite in the beginning, and had raging heartburn and indigestion from mid-second-tri on. And trust me, you'd have those "Is everything ok?" feelings whether or not you had m/s. I would spazz about everything. Don't even get me started about the time I absentmindedly ate cold deli sandwiches 3 days in a row during the first tri. I almost stressed myself to death!

i had no morning sickness either and was a bit worried in the beginning about the possibility of miscarriage... but my my mom and grandma didn't have m/s either... i think a lot of it is genetics! so consider yourself lucky that you're doing great in the first trimester!! i went on to have a smooth labor/delivery too. i really enjoyed being pregnant. :)

Mine wasn't horrible either and started later than normal (between 9-12 weeks) I thought I was going to get away without it, but then it hit me. It was more of a constant hungover feeling for me and I only got sick a few times.

I am noticing a random return of it though and I'm 24 weeks now. Over the past couple of weeks I've gotten sick in the mornings a few times.

You might be one of the lucky ones...my mom never had MS with 6 kids.

from weeks 6ish-12 I was nauseous in the evenings - I would get home from work & take a nap {b/c man, I was exhausted} & by the time I would wake up I would feel not so sick anymore... just gross. But I never actually threw up because I was nauseous. I did, however, throw up twice because I gagged myself with my toothbrush. It was pretty awesome.

I'm the one most moms envy... I never really had MS for both of my daughters' pregnancies. I can count on one hand the times I felt nauseous/vomited for both times combined. Once each time it was due to taking prenatals on an empty stomach, so those don't even count. I'm pretty lucky, but I also know a few other gals who never really got MS either. so try not to worry, and hopefully you don't get it either.

I didn't have any throwing up, but from about week 7-12 felt pretty nauseous every day unless I had a little bit in my stomach ( I had a sleeve of saltines with me at all times). I was joking with my friend that we wished our first trimester was a little harder because then our husbands would have had a bit more sympathy for us.

@winniebee - i know what you mean. but i have to tell you that i had pretty bad m/s last year with my first pregnancy and that ended in m/c so m/s is definitely not indicative of a healthy pregnancy. good luck in pregnancy and hoping for healthy babies for all of us.

I'll be 15 weeks wednesday and I never really had any significant MS in the beginning either. Like you, I had some bouts of nausea here and there. Then, at like 12 weeks, I started to have more severe nausea, and more frequently. It was never actually bad enough to vomit though. It's died down some, but it's still there at least once a day. If it makes you feel any better, I read somewhere that you're more likely to have MS if your mom did with her pregnancy. I know it's hard when you hear stuff relating lack of MS to miscarriage, but I know plenty of people that had no MS and had healthy pregnancies. :)

@ Tequiro - grass is always greener, right?? I have been wishing for some MS as a "sign" that things are going well. I probably should just be counting my blessings : / If I hadn't had a prior miscarriage (early, at 5 weeks, but still...) I would be so psyched not to have any!!

Does anyone else NOT have morning sickness (or did you not have any during your pregnancy?)

I'm 9 weeks and haven't had any MS. A few minor bouts of nausea here and there, but really nothing compared to what others have complained about. I have some other "typical" pregancy symptoms (sore breasts, very tired esp. in mornings, bloated, and frequent hunger) but always wonder about the MS (people say when you have MS there is less risk of miscarriage)....

My grandma, sister, and mom - none of them had any either! Am I in the minority here? Anyone else NOT have any nausea during their pregnancy?

PS - I realize I probably still have time for nausea since I'm only 9 wks ; )
