She is finally going back to school tomorrow. I called our standard pediatrician yesterday, and he was out so I was referred to his backup pediatrician in another office, whom I never met... and there were no issues. Most pediatricians should have same day appointments available to squeeze in time for patients that need immediate care. We moved in June and in September our son got sick. My husband called the pediatrician we chose and we got in the same day. Haven't had to see her again until just last week and he had breathing problems so another same day appointment. We also have an urgent care too... But of course not all have that. </p> <p>I think rules are very specific to individual clinics though.</p> <p>I hope you can get your LO in quickly! If you have no established ped I would try that first for immediate care.
