@MamaMoose: O.M.G. that is such an awful thing to say to a pregnant lady who is already obviously freakin out!!!
Ahh don't worry love! You are totally fine. Just think of that nice strong heartbeat they found :)

You know I never actually worried about the leakiness, I guess I thought it was normal? I think I may have mentioned it once or twice to my midwife and she just kinda brushed it off like it was unimportant. She said as long as it didn't smell like bleach or fish, there should be no worries.

@Coco Bee: uh it makes me feel so much better to know someone else was leaky and carried to term. When I got home I told my next door neighbor what was going on an she started telling me that's how her miscarriage at 20 weeks started and I should get a second opinion because the ER doctors sent her home too. Uhhhhh. But she doesn't remember actually being tested for amniotic fluid because this was a few years ago and I believe the swab test is pretty new.

@MamaMoose: @travelingbrit: first thing I thought was UTI as well. I got them a lot, and had one during pregnancy as well. I can tell when I get one from cloudy pee.

@MamaMoose: I was super leaky during pregnancy too! I know it's soo gross, but I would totally have wet panties too. Abnormal amounts of discharge for some reason?? And another TMI - after birth the smell of it has totally changed. I hate it!!

So for the past few days I have noticed a few drops of cloudy fluid coming out of me after I pee. And my panties are normally pretty wet by the end of the day. I didn't worry too much about it but since it was Friday I didn't want to worry myself all weekend so I decided to call my doctor's office and just check in. Well of course the nurse called me back and TOTALLY freaked me out and told me "yeah that doesn't sound normal... And all the OBs are gone for the day or put on deliveries so I need you to go to the ER". So of course I started crying hysterically at the office and my BFF who I work with took me to the ER. They did two swab tests and both were negative for amniotic fluid. Hallelujah!! They think I just have some particularly thin discharge but told me to keep an eye on it and get retested if it continues. Scary few hours but all seems to be well. And heartbeat was strong at 145.
