I believe when they are EBF, it is virtually impossible for them to get constipated and anything from multiple times per day to once every two weeks falls within the normal spectrum. Once they start solids though, it's a whole different story! LO would go about five times per week whilst EBF, but once solids came in, forget it. Constipation city. She's EBF, so doctor thinks she just has a good digestive system and is using everything up! She's happy as a clam and doesn't seem bothered. After a week I usually give her a little bit of prune juice every day (tsp) and she goes by about 2 weeks. Is your baby in pain? Is your baby growing? Are there enough wet diapers? My son had MSPI and one symptom was constipation and no poops for weeks at a time and then a solid poop followed by days of loose poop.
