Oh man. I threw in the towel at 1.5 hrs too. Will she sleep with you in bed? I know cosleeping isn't for everyone but i did it for awhile with dd2 just so we could all get some sleep. Its not permanent and you can always revisit sleep training later.

It took us 21 days. But it worked. The length of crying really dropped a week in.

Oh man, sorry you guys are still having trouble. So, did you separate nursing/bottle at least 20-30 minutes prior to bedtime? Is she crying for an 1.5 at bedtime and then waking up at midnight and crying? Also, is she still eating at night? If it were me, I would make sure bedtime is happening correctly and then work on the rest of the night once she is falling asleep successfully at bedtime. If you are attempting to wean at night, I would try to do the gradual weaning method where you cut down the time you nurse or the amount of formula in bottle (sorry, I can't remember if you said you are breastfeeding or formula feeding)! For us, when I tried to just cut out a feed cold turkey by saying we aren't nursing until 4 am, it DID NOT work at all, it was a complete disaster. It was not until I slowly weaned that feed that she only cried for a very short amount of time MOTN. I think I mentioned it in your last post, but if you have time, seriously check out the troublesome tots Facebook page. They have SO MUCH helpful information and can maybe think of something we aren't thinking of. I really hope it gets better for you guys soon, I feel for you. Sleep deprivation and all the crying is incredibly draining.

We don't sleep train but I have heard that 2 weeks is how long you should give it to see improvements...

How old is she? When we sleep trained B the doula said that if he went for 90 minutes without stopping he just wasn't ready, and we should wait a month before trying again.

We have been doing nighttime sleep training for four days with absolutely no improvements. The crying lasts about an hour and a half and she always wakes around midnight to cry and just be awake for another two. We do checks when she's hysterical hysterical but other than that she just lays on her back screaming showing no signs of self soothing attempts (despite having a half dozen pacis, a lovie, and a blankie in the crib with her.) is this normal to see no progress? This is awful :(
