A few of our good friends here threw a little party for us but it wasn't a shower - just a little celebration to mark the upcoming arrival of our LO. Most people ignored the registry and bought clothes. It was still nice to have for the people who did buy off of the registry. I think most places have a registry completion discount too. I know BRU did.
